Job Description

Husch Blackwell, a national law firm, has an immediate opening in its Washington, D.C. office for an International Trade & Supply Chain Associate with two to five years of experience.

The ideal candidate should have demonstrated experience in international trade and trade remedies (specifically U.S. antidumping and countervailing duty proceedings) and related trade and tariff experience. Candidates who also have experience in import and customs issues, including tariff classification, valuation, marking, preference claims as well as U.S. export controls, trade and economic sanctions issues, and antiboycott controls will be considered.  Prior experience advising U.S. and non-U.S. companies on enforcement actions, internal investigations and compliance audits, prior disclosures, classification, licensing, encryption, compliance due diligence in mergers and acquisitions and other cross-border transactions, and on the design, implementation, and administration of compliance programs is preferred.

The ideal candidate will have excellent academic credentials, a commitment to the community, superior interpersonal skills and a demonstrated record of working well under pressure.  The candidate should demonstrate exceptional judgment, the ability to effectively handle multiple projects, and the ability to articulate legal strategies and courses of action.  Candidates should have an active DC bar license or commit to obtaining one as soon as possible.
