Insurance Coverage Attorney/Counsel

Husch Blackwell, a national law firm, has an immediate opening for an Insurance Coverage Attorney/Counsel with a minimum of five years of experience including significant experience in handling insurance coverage disputes in the commercial insurance sector. We will consider candidates for any of our offices including our virtual office, The Link. This position has the possibility of a reduced billable-hour requirement and a flexible schedule.  

The ideal candidate will have experience with all phases of complex commercial litigation including, but not limited to, experience conducting factual investigations and discovery, preparing pleadings, taking depositions, participating in mediation, and extensive communication with clients.  The ideal candidate will also have experience representing clients in insurance coverage matters, including, but not limited to, experience reviewing commercial insurance policies, drafting coverage evaluations and reservation of rights letters, and extensive communication with clients regarding coverage issues and coverage positions.

The ideal candidate will have excellent academic credentials, a commitment to the community, superior interpersonal skills, and a demonstrated record of working well under pressure.  The candidate should demonstrate exceptional judgment, the ability to effectively handle multiple projects, and the ability to articulate legal strategies and courses of action. Judicial clerkship experience is preferred.

We offer competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefit package including medical, dental, vision, 401K and much more. Pursuant to Colorado’s Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the compensation range for this position in Denver only is $150,000 to $170,000, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
