This attorney, working in the Legal Affairs Department, will represent T-Mobile and provide counsel to business units and Human Resources on employment and labor-related legal matters as assigned; and prepare and review legal documents including pleadings, briefs, position statements, and other filings.

What you’ll do in your role.

  • Provide counseling to HR and other internal clients to identify and manage labor and employment legal risks
  • Act as subject matter expert for specialty area(s) including discrimination, ADA, FMLA, pay equity, wrongful termination, retaliation, and internal employment investigations
  • Engage and work with outside counsel to manage employment litigation and administrative proceedings
  • Develop and review written HR policies, guidelines and processes, templates, and training materials
  • Develop and deliver legal training for HR and other internal clients 
  • Provide employment law advice regarding and directing internal investigations
  • Advise and help clients understand employment law related compliance issues
  • Counsel and advise business clients on a wide variety of complex and developing employment-related legal and business issues

The experience you’ll bring.

  • 7-10 years, of experience as an employment attorney, with relevant in-house and/or top law firm experience
  • Minimum 5 years, prefer 8+ years, of experience handling employment litigation
  • Significant experience handling contingent workforce issues, OFCCP audits and/or pay equity analyses
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • A demonstrated ability to collaborate with other legal and business professionals in a complex    organization with a focus on delivering results efficiently
  • Keen business sense with strong judgment, negotiation, drafting, and decision-making skills
  • Ability to operate independently and effectively in a dynamic environment
  • Strong prioritization skills, and execution and results orientation with a client focus
  • Ability to work efficiently, meet demanding deadlines, and balance multiple tasks in a fast-paced and agile environment
  • Desire and ability to work as part of a team and collaborate and partner effectively across teams
  • Must be licensed to practice law in the US
