Job Description

Katz Banks Kumin LLP, a boutique employment and whistleblower law firm in Washington, D.C., and Philadelphia, PA, is now accepting applications from attorneys for Mid-Level Associate and Senior Associate positions. Ideal candidates are at least three years out of law school and have worked in positions that demonstrate a commitment to social justice/civil rights issues and the development of practical litigation and/or employment law experience.

The Associate position offers talented attorneys the opportunity to work on important whistleblower, employment discrimination, and civil rights cases with experienced attorneys at Katz Banks Kumin. Our Associates are deeply involved in all aspects and stages of our whistleblower and employment discrimination cases, from developing and investigating cases, interviewing clients and witnesses, participating in settlement negotiations and mediations, researching and drafting pleadings and detailed case communications, conducting discovery, and attending legal proceedings. Mid-Level and Senior Associates are expected to work closely with firm Partners, help manage cases, advise clients directly, and assist in the direction of junior attorneys.

Applicants should have a demonstrated commitment to employment law, civil rights, and/or public interest issues; strong academic credentials; superior analytical, research, writing, and verbal skills; the ability to balance a varied case load; and Bar membership obtained prior to starting with the firm. The Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis.
