The Privacy analyst is a member of the T-Mobile Privacy Office within the T-Mobile Legal Department. The Analyst assists with the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of the T-Mobile Privacy Compliance Program. This position reports to a Manager, Director, or Senior Director under the direction of the Chief Privacy Officer.

What you’ll do in your role.

  • Perform privacy impacts assessments:
    • Identify privacy impacts of a process or system based on its specific characteristics or context of personal information use;
    • Communicate privacy impacts and remediation recommendations; and
    • Identify the remediation owner(s) and facilitate remediation plan approval.
  • Inventory, monitor, and report on privacy considerations or impacts identified during privacy impact assessments to ensure compliance with privacy and data protection legislation requirements.
  • Update/maintain privacy control inventory upon implementation of new safeguards or controls to ensure ongoing monitoring of compliance.
  • Train certain T-Mobile employees on Privacy by Design and T-Mobile Privacy Framework
  • Manage or support special projects (e.g., privacy related audits, compliance monitoring/testing, and regulatory related inquiries).

The experience you’ll bring.

  • 3+ years of compliance, legal or audit experience
  • 2-3 years’ experience in development and implementation of privacy and security compliance program
  • Data Privacy
  • Privacy Law – Knowledge of privacy and data protection laws or regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, FTC Act, HIPAA, GLBA, FCRA, State Breach laws, etc.);
  • Risk Management – Knowledge of privacy risk management standards (e.g., ISO, NIST, etc.)
  • Practical experience in the field of telecommunications law (including CPNI regulations)
  • Associate degree – business administration; economics; accounting; public policy; political science; computer science; or related field.
  • Competency with all Microsoft Office products
  • Ability to effectively manage time, prioritize work, multi-task across many assignments
  • Strong communication and technical writing skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and diplomacy
