Toyota Financial Services (TFS) is the strategic mobility finance solution provider for Toyota and
Lexus in North America and other non-affiliated partners.

Who We’re Looking For
Toyota Financial Service’s Corporate Legal department is looking for a passionate and highly
motivated attorney with experience in auto finance originations and strategic deal structuring for
our Managing Counsel, Financial Services position.
The primary responsibility of this role is to manage and provide strategic advice on complex sales
and originations transactions.
Reporting to the Assistant General Counsel the person in this role will support the department's
objective to effectively partner and manage our global and mobility relationships.

What You’ll Be Doing
• Review and analyze business practices and proposals for compliance with federal and 50 state
laws regarding the following areas of law and products: credit reporting, fair lending, and Equal
Credit Opportunity Act, pricing, payment channels including electronic, advertising, privacy,
information security, social media, digital delivery of products and services, antitrust, OFAC and
money laundering, credit cards, deposit accounts, and some general banking laws such as affiliate
transaction restrictions
• Represent the Legal Department in cross-functional teams and task forces formed to implement
new business/ the pilot of strategic innovations.
• Closely partner with Enterprise Compliance in areas of responsibility
• Communicate legal opinions and recommendations simply, effectively, persuasively, and
professionally in writing, meetings, and telephone calls

What You Bring
• J.D. from accredited law school in the United States
• Active membership in good standing in the bar of at least one U.S. state/jurisdiction, and able to
obtain a license to practice law in Texas
• Extensive experience as an attorney providing operations, legal, and regulatory advice for
complex corporate transactions and corporate governance; experience in auto finance origination
and/or strategic deal structuring highly preferred
• Ability to prioritize among competing and multiple projects and priorities with minimal direction
• Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment on diverse matters requiring complex
legal analysis
• Commitment and ability to act with discretion, strict confidentiality, and sensitivity towards
issues and individuals
• Ability to interface effectively and build and maintain strong relationships with the legal function
and across multiple business units, ideally including global business units
• Capable of working independently and as part of a team
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Exceptional detail and organizational skills
• Ability and willingness to travel 5% of the time

Added Bonus If You Have
• Proficiency with NetDocuments
• Proficiency with ChangePro
• Working knowledge of TILA, CLA, TCPA, SCRA, UDAAP, FTC, and FCRA, and related
sales/originations laws
• Experience working with Risk Management, Compliance, and Audit
