County Counsel is recruiting for a Juvenile Dependency Attorney* to represent the Department of Children and Family Services in Juvenile Court dependency cases involving allegations of child abuse and neglect. Attorneys in this section appear in statutorily-required hearings, special interim reviews, mediations, settlement conferences and specialty court hearings. Initial Appointment Applications are being accepted for the III and IV levels. Your application will be reviewed for the appropriate level of placement within the Deputy County Counsel Series. It is to your advantage to be explicit with your work history on your application.
Note: Advertised salary range above is range for both levels. Salary range for each level is listed below, effective 7/31/21.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
Background: Applicants must pass a background investigation, including fingerprinting, prior to appointment.
Travel: Travel throughout the County is required. A valid California Class C driver license is required at time of appointment. Employees in this class may be required to use personal vehicles and show proof of automobile liability insurance. Mileage reimbursement is available.
