Conduct extensive, well-reasoned legal research. Communicate, effectively work with, and provide guidance to Risk Management claim partners/adjusters. Prepare pleadings including applications, answers and responsive pleadings. Draft proposed compromise and release agreements, stipulations with request for awards, and AME/PQME letters. Prepare trial briefs and appeals including petitions for reconsideration and writs. Take depositions of applicants and cross-examinations of physicians. The vacancy for Pittsburgh will occur as of October 17, 2026 upon the retirement of current United States Magistrate Judge Maureen P. Kelly. The vacancy for Johnstown is expected to be filled on or after April 1, 2027.
