Legal Aid Center of Southern Nevada is seeking a full-time Staff Attorney to provide creative and zealous advocacy to clients seeking immigration redress. The attorney will be assigned to one of two Legal Aid Center programs that provide immigration assistance, the Legal Service Fund or the Immigration Advocacy Program. The Legal Service Fund provides critical legal services to hotel and casino workers, the people who are the backbone of this community, to safeguard the legal and economic wellbeing of eligible employees and their families. The program’s legal assistance is heavily focused on immigration issues but also include varied areas such as housing, simple estate planning, debt collection defense, criminal record sealing, and others. The Immigration Advocacy Program’s clients are primarily victims of crime such as domestic violence and sexual assault or children who are abused or abandoned and are eligible for victim-related immigration relief.
