Since 1966, Legal Aid Society of Rockland County, Inc. (LASRC) has provided free civil legal services to Rockland County, New York residents who cannot afford private attorneys. We strive to ensure that Rockland County families and individuals, seniors and children, have access to a safe home, enough food to eat, public benefits to which they are entitled, medical care and adequate shelter.

We are proud of our record of providing critically needed, civil legal assistance to thousands of low-income people each year - people in our community who have nowhere else to turn. With more than 44 years of providing access to justice for those in need, LASRC continues to respond to the growing demand for legal help. Legal Aid Society of Rockland County, Inc. (LASRC) seeks two attorneys for its office in New City, New York. One position, in LASRC’s Children’s Rights Division, is to represent children in family court as an Attorney for the Child (AFC) in matters including custody, child abuse/neglect and juvenile delinquency. The other position, for a Senior Attorney in LASRC’s Civil Division, is to supervise legal work, to assume some administrative duties and to represent clients in the traditional substantive areas of poverty law.
