Conduct extensive, well-reasoned legal research. Communicate, effectively work with, and provide guidance to Risk Management claim partners/adjusters. Prepare pleadings including applications, answers and responsive pleadings. Draft proposed compromise and release agreements, stipulations with request for awards, and AME/PQME letters. Prepare trial briefs and appeals including petitions for reconsideration and writs. Take depositions of applicants and cross-examinations of physicians. Prepare strategies for resolution with little or no supervision. Prepare for hearings including trial, cross-examination, trial exhibits and witnesses with little or no supervision.
