Description
The Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law at Arizona State University invites applications for Assistant Teaching Professor position to join our vibrant and innovative community. This is a benefits eligible, academic-year (nine month) position. Teaching faculty positions are non-tenure track appointments on a year-to-year contract. We seek candidates eager to contribute to our dynamic curriculum through a mixture of in-person and online teaching.
We are looking for candidates to teach exclusively in an online environment. Ideal candidates have demonstrated excellence in law teaching and are comfortable with online course delivery. While preference is for candidates based in Phoenix to foster community engagement, this position may be performed remotely from any location within the United States, with notice to the university of the work location.

Essential Function:
• Teaching: Providing instruction in required first-year courses, upper-level electives, or both.
• Service: Contributing to the college and university community through participation in various meetings and projects.
• Professional engagement: Engaging in relevant professional activities, such as presentations and publications.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- JD or equivalent advanced degree;
- Minimum of five (5) years of law practice experience or two (2) years teaching law students in an ABA accredited law school.
Desired Qualifications:
- Proven excellence or potential in law teaching;
- Commitment to student success and innovative pedagogy;
- Flexibility to teach in a hybrid learning environment.

The initial application deadline is September 15, 2026. Applications will continue to be accepted on a rolling basis for a reserve pool. Applications in the reserve pool may then be reviewed in the order in which they were received, until the position is filled.
